Our water management services cover all aspects of the control of Legionella bacteria in hot and cold domestic water systems as recommended within the HSE guidance documents HSG 274 parts 1 & 2. The guidance covers hot and cold water systems in part 1 and other risk systems in part 2. The services we provide are as follows:

• Water risk assessment
• Hot and cold water monitoring
• TMV maintenance
• Tank inspections
• System clean & disinfection
• Showerheads, hoses and spray tap disinfection
• Expansion vessel purge through and flush
• Calorifier inspection
• Water sampling, laboratory analysis and data interpretation
• Chemical dosing and/or control systems
• On-site analytical and monitoring services
• All other aspects of water management as listed within HSG 274 parts 1 & 2

We also undertake water management work in health care premises which is covered under separate guidance – the safe water in healthcare premises (HTM 04-01) which includes: the design, installation, commissioning, testing, monitoring and operation of water supply systems in healthcare premises.

This type of work also includes the guidance within the New Acop L8 (fourth edition), HSG 274 pats 1 & 2, which contains all the above aspects for hot and cold water systems and is supplemented by the additional requirements of HTM 04 01.

Some of our current contracts also include private water supplies which are governed under regional legislation – The Water Intended for Human Consumption (Private Supplies) (Scotland) Regulations 2017.
